A Day in the Agarwood Garden — Harvest Journal

Morning light slowly filters through the canopy, and the garden wakes to the gentle chorus of birds. The air is fresh, touched with the soft scent of earth and leaves. As we walk along the narrow paths, wildflowers bloom quietly beneath the trees, and a light breeze carries the subtle, calming aroma that only an agarwood forest can offer.
Our plantation stretches across more than ten square kilometers — a vast, living ecosystem rather than a simple farm. Here, nature is not controlled, but respected. The trees grow alongside native plants, and the balance between cultivation and the environment is carefully maintained. This is not only our livelihood, but a long-term commitment to sustainable development.
Today’s work is focused on preparing selected trees for resin formation. We carefully choose mature, healthy trees with strong potential. Each step is done by hand, with patience and respect. Using simple physical methods, we gently create small wounds on the trunks. This process encourages the tree’s natural defense system to produce resin over time, gradually forming the precious agarwood.
We do not use any chemical treatments. No artificial acceleration, no shortcuts. The formation of agarwood is a slow and natural process, guided by time, environment, and the tree’s own response. It may take years, but this is what ensures the purity, depth, and authenticity of the fragrance.
As the sun rises higher, the garden becomes more vibrant. Birds continue to sing above us, insects hum softly in the background, and the forest breathes in quiet harmony. Each tree we tend today carries the promise of the future — not just as a product, but as a story of patience, craftsmanship, and respect for nature.
By the time the day draws to a close, the golden light settles across the plantation. We leave the garden as we found it — alive, peaceful, and full of quiet energy — trusting that, in time, these trees will return something truly rare and remarkable.
